Hello, I’m Kerry Myers, and welcome!

Therapy can be a central part of restoring balance in your life, no matter what brings you to it. Sometimes, people seek out therapy to make a change in their lives, to fix what hasn’t been working, or because their coping skills are no longer helpful. Other times people are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, health issues, or other struggles influenced by traumatic childhoods or difficult life situations. Whatever the case, I am glad you are here to learn more.

Through my own life journey, I’ve come to believe that we all possess the innate ability to heal. Offering a client-centered, collaborative approach, I specialize in helping others to look within and begin to access this ability while being held in a safe, empathetic and non-judgmental space. The principles of Internal Family Systems (IFS), a body-focused modality, guide this unfolding with compassion, curiosity and confidence. This approach allows for working through painful feelings and limiting beliefs, while developing clarity and the ability to respond, rather than react, to whatever you may encounter in life.

If this sounds like it resonates with you, I invite you to reach out to our scheduling team at hello@healthalliescounseling.com to explore the possibility of working together.

About Me:

I’m fairly new to Portland, so weekend hikes exploring the PNW are a current favorite. I’m blessed to get to spend time regularly with my wonderful daughter. I love dogs, enjoy knitting with beautiful yarns and am always down to play a game of cards (I grew up playing canasta!). You’ll often find me practicing my culinary skills when I’m not working and I wholeheartedly believe in savoring the simple moments in life!
