Hello! My name is Jamie, and I am a Professional Counselor Associate registered in the state of Oregon.  I moved to Portland in 2021 from Cleveland, Ohio, and completed my Master’s degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. I received a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Cleveland State University and have a colorful work history including extensive experience in the restaurant service industry. My life has offered me opportunities to build deep relationships with individuals spanning a wide spectrum of diverse identities, so no matter what your background is — you are unconditionally welcomed just as you are.

So many forces in our lives can push us to hide pieces of ourselves from others. Shame, trauma, oppressive environments, and unhealthy relationships can lead us to not only feel distanced from those around us, but even to hide from ourselves. Our wounds cause us to question our self-worth and prevent us from giving and receiving the kind of love that makes us feel alive. I hold a warm space that is judgment free, and prioritize building a genuine connection that can empower you to step out of anxiety and move towards growth.

I take an eclectic approach to therapy that is attachment-based, psychodynamic, and rooted in the connection between our minds, bodies, and emotions. I primarily utilize Internal Family Systems and Mindful Self-Compassion to provide tangible tools you can use to combat shame, reconnect with your body, and discover what brings you authentic, radical joy. I am a pleasure activist, sex positive, and feel strongly that every facet of your identity (culture, gender, size, ability, sexuality, spirituality) is not just invited, but integral to our work. No exceptions!

When I’m out of the office, you can expect to find me getting lost in the PNW’s old growth forests, dancing in a wig with friends, or attempting complicated cooking projects under the strict supervision of my cat, Beeps.
